SUNDAYS AT NORTHBRIDGE

FIRST TIME HERE?

Welcome! Checking out a new church can feel a little overwhelming, so we promise that you will feel no pressure, just a warm welcome. In our view, connecting to a new church in a healthy way is necessarily a slow and intentional process, and we embrace that approach. When you come, folks from our greeting teams will help you find your way around campus, answer questions, and (if you have them) help get your kids connected in the right locations.

Some Helpful Information:

  • Sunday Mornings?

You’ll find that getting here is EASY; our campus is in a central location for the greater Charleston area just into West Ashley off the I-26/Cosgrove exit. Sunday morning worship starts with Bible Study Classes from 9am to 10:15am in various campus locations for adults, students, and kids in K-5th grade. Our Worship Service is at 10:30am in our Worship Center. We provide Children’s Church for K-5th grade kids. You can securely check them in at the children’s security desk in the Education Building. Nursery care is available during Bible Study Classes and our Worship Service. Come and see!

  • What Should I Wear?

When it comes to church “dress code”, we don’t have one beyond the common sense approach of being modest and respectful in what we wear. Some or our folks like getting a little dressier, some tend to be more causal, and many are somewhere in-between. In all cases, we know God is more interested in your heart you are bringing before Him than He is in your clothing.

  • What Kind of Worship Music?

Worship at Northbridge is passionate and spiritually focused. Our aim is not to just listen to the music, but instead to personally enter into worshiping God through the music. Our songs are from a variety of genres and styles, with the prime qualifier being that they are Biblically grounded lyrically, and instigate authentic worship.  Our music style is mostly contemporary, but we also pepper-in traditional hymns to keep our worship rich and diverse. We worship God to have a heartfelt encounter with Him.

  • Straight Bible Teaching

Our bible teaching is dynamic and passionate, and helps make the truth of the Bible directly applicable to our modern culture and everyday lives.  The sermons are often based on teaching through one Bible book at a time (exegetical), but are sometimes based on addressing specific subjects (topical) and drawing on Biblical truths to understand them. Our purpose is to present the Word of God directly and let it have its designed power to transform our minds through truth and by Spirit of the Lord, and in that process we become more like Jesus. If you are spiritually hungry and want to get a deeper Biblical teaching to strengthen your faith, Northbridge may be the place for you.

  • Weekly Activities

Each week is full of diverse activities and there are lots of opportunities to get connected with a group or with a ministry. The simple breakdown is this: Sunday mornings are for Bible Study and Worship Service; Sunday evenings focus on Kids ministry through our AWANA program; Wednesday Night THRIVE gatherings are focused on Corporate Prayer, Discipleship Classes, Youth Ministry, and Life Group meetings (in homes or at the church). So no matter what stage of life you are in, there are ways to connect at Northbridge and grow further in your spiritual life!

COMMUNITY

We want to have impact in the community around us that exists outside the walls of our church, so we look for intentional ways to reach out to show the love and truth of Jesus to those willing to hear and receive both.  To learn more, click below:
