SUNDAYS AT NORTHBRIDGE

FIRST TIME HERE?

Welcome! Checking out a new church can feel a little overwhelming. You might like worshipping with us, or you may be looking for something else; either way you will get a warm welcome from us. We have dedicated teams who will help you find your way around campus, answer questions, and (if you have them) help you get your kids connected in the right location. Connecting with a new church in a healthy way is a slow and intentional process, and we like that too. We hope to have the privilege of walking with you in that journey.

Some Helpful Information:

  • Sunday Mornings?

Getting here is easy! Our campus is centrally located in the greater Charleston area, just into West Ashley (off the I-26/Cosgrove exit). Sunday morning worship starts with Bible Study Classes from 9am to 10:15am for adults, youth, and kids in K-5th grade. Our Worship Service starts at 10:30am in our Worship Center, and we provide Children’s Church (K-5th kids) during our adult Worship Service time. You can also choose to keep your kids with you in the Worship (as long as the kids can make it; moms with babies: we have two adjacent rooms for feeding or crying in the Worship Center). We also offer safe and secure Child Care (nursery to 5th) during both the Bible Study and Worship Service times Sundays. Come and see!

  • What Should I Wear?

When it comes to church “dress code” we don’t have one beyond just being modest and respectful of the purpose of church -- gathering with other followers of Jesus to worship Almighty God. Some or our folks like getting a little dressier, and some are causal, and still others are in-between. Whatever your preference, we know God is more interested in your heart than He is in your clothing.

  • What Kind of Worship Music?

Our worship music is spiritually focused and passionate. Our aim is not to settle for just listening to the music, or just watching a great band with cool visual effects. We look instead to personally enter into worshiping God through the music. Our songs are from a variety of music genres and styles, with the qualifier being that they be biblically grounded lyrically. Our style is mostly contemporary music, but we also pepper in great traditional hymns. We worship God to in order to have a heartfelt encounter with Him.

  • Straight Bible Teaching

Our Bible teaching is dynamic and passionate, helping make its truths come to life and be applicable to our modern culture and everyday lives.  Sermons are often based on teaching through one Bible book at a time, but sometimes are based on current events. We present the Bible as authoritative and without compromise. We know the bible is supernatural in its power to transform us with its truth, making us more and more like Jesus. If you are spiritually hungry and want deeper Biblical teaching that directly applies to your life, you can find it at Northbridge.

  • Weekly Activities

Church is not supposed to be a Sunday-only event — our aim is to be a living community of faith that provides multiple connections points during the week as well! Each week you'll find opportunities to get connected with a group or a ministry at Northbridge. Whether it is Sunday mornings for Bible Study and Worship, or Sunday evenings with our Kids ministry AWANA program, or Wednesday nights for THRIVE (Prayer, Discipleship Classes, Youth Ministry), or in a Men's Breakfast or Women's Tea, or in one of our Life Groups (meeting in our homes during the week) — there are many ways for you to connect to thrive in friendship and your spiritual walk.

CLASSES & GROUPS

We are passionate about helping people grow stronger and deeper in their faith walk with God.  A key part of that growth requires connection with discipleship class opportunities and Life Groups - both help you get connected, and learn to better apply your faith and grow.  To learn more, click below:

COMMUNITY

We want to have positive impact in our local community around us, so we look for intentional ways to reach out and show the love and truth of Jesus to those willing to hear and receive both.  Events on campus, helping people in in need, and intercessory prayer for our community are some ways we do that.
